The closing ceremony of the Festival of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him).

The closing ceremony of the fifth edition of the Cultural Festival of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) organized by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine under the slogan "Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) the keeper of knowledge and the utmost example of magnanimity" to celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him), was concluded on Saturday afternoon the 1st of Rajab 1440 AH, corresponding to March 9, 2019.

The ceremony, which was held in the Hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, started by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, followed by announcing the recommendations of the Festival's participants, delivered by the Director of the al-'Ameed International Center for Research and Studies; Prof. Dr. Riyadh al-'Amidi. The recommendations were as follows:

1. The conferees recommend that this festival should be held annually and that it should be organized in a format of an annual international conference on Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) and his great efforts in various aspects of life.

2 - Inviting the Iraqi universities and research institutions to be concerned with the personality, speech and efforts of Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) in politics, society, thinking and reform.

3 - Recommending the printing of the work of this festival and pointing out that it is part of a continuum, which is published by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

At the end of the ceremony, all participants, researchers and media professionals were honored by the distribution of appreciation shields.
