Two researchers of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine win the Best Research Paper at the annual conference of the Association of Specialized Libraries in the UAE.

Among dozens of Arab researchers, Mr. Baha' Taleb Abd and Mr. Hasanein Ahmad Hasan from the Center for Indexing and Information Systems of the Library and the House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine received the prize of the best research paper presented at the 25th Annual Conference of the Association of Specialized Libraries in the Arabian Gulf, hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism in the UAE, under the theme "Internet things: The future of interconnected Internet communities".

The International Award recognizes and appreciates their contribution to the development of technical skills using new library technology and helps people to interact better with libraries.

Mr. Hasanein Ahmad Hasan stated: "We have won this award as a result of the unlimited support provided by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine through the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, which allowed us to participate in the research experiments that proved successful in the library and house of manuscripts of the holy shrine, to exchange experiences and to transfer our successful experiences in order to crystallize them theoretically after the practical success and realize them in solid scientific research. Our participation in this important international conference was significant, and thank God, our research paper was liked by the Committee which gave it the award of the best research paper. "

He added: "The idea of the research is the use of new library technology and mechanism, which aims to employ a tool to help people interact better with libraries, through low-power wireless devices that are the most suitable solution for the diverse use of the Internet, reducing the effort of the employee and the researcher also."
