The closing ceremony of the fourth edition of the national competition of public speaking.

After two days of the competition, the activities of the fourth edition of the national competition of public speaking for middle school students of the education administrations in the center and south of Iraq, which is being organized by the University Relations Division of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine within the al-Kafeel national project for youth, were concluded on Friday morning the 21st of Rajab 1440H corresponding to March 29, 2019, amid a large media and academic presence as well as the presence of delegations representing the holy shrines and sanctuaries in Iraq.

The closing ceremony held in the hall of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of Iraq's righteous martyrs, then listening to the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Tune of Pride.

Then the word of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was delivered by Dr. Mushtaq Abbas Ma'an, the educational assistant of the Department of Education and Higher Education. Followed by the word of the directorates participating in the competition, delivered by the Director General of Education Karkh I; Mr. Mahdi Karim.

Then a documentary film abou the annual national competition of public speaking was screened, reviewing the participations in the previous years.

Then the chairman of the committee, Dr. Saeed Hameed Kadhem, delivered the word of the Arbitration Committee.

Then the results were announced as well as the winners in this competition in accordance with the three criteria set by the arbitration jury, namely: literary linguistic integrity, performance and originality. And the winners were as follows:

First place: the student Mahdi Shaker Khenyab / Directorate of Education Rusafa III / Baghdad.

Second place: the student Karrar Mohammed Abdul Redha / Directorate of Education Rusafa III / Baghdad.

Third place: the student Junaid Adel Fadel / Directorate of Education Karkh I / Baghdad.

Fourth place: the student Mohammed Yousef Abbas / Directorate of Education Dhi Qar.

Fifth place: the student Hussein Alaa Mahmoud / Directorate of Education Muthanna.

In conclusion, the winners were honored as well as the jury and the participating directorates.
