The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine celebrates the religious maturity age of 570 students from the al-'Ameed Schools Group.

Under the slogan "My honor is to obey my Lord", the Department of Education and Higher Education at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine celebrated on Saturday 22nd of Rajab 1440 AH corresponding to March 30, the annual ceremony of reaching the religious maturity age for the students of the al-'Ameed Schools Group, in the Hall of the Complex of Sheikh al-Kulayni of the holy shrine located on the road Baghdad - Karbala. This ceremony is held by the holy shrine to make the students sense the important of the transitional period of their life and to be informed of their religious responsibilities and duties.

The morning ceremony held for the girls, was attended by some officials of the holy shrine and the students and their families, and began by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and reading Surat al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, then the Iraqi national anthem was played followed by the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "Tune of Pride".

Then Dr. Abbas al-Musawi, member of the board of directors of the holy shrine, delivered a speech in which he congratulated the girls honored on this ceremony, giving them some advices and highlighting the role of their families and teachers in this new period of their lives.

The ceremony included the presentation of a chant by the girls followed by reading the oath. Then the students presented a play about Hijab. The ceremony also included offering the 390 girls honored on this day, gifts related to things used by girls in their age, such as a veil, a prayer rug, a Turbah, a prayer beads and a Holy Quran.

A similar ceremony was held in the evening for the boys, where the board of director of the holy shrine; Dr. Abbas al-Musawi presented his speech for the 180 honored boys, followed by a guidance word about the religious maturity age by Sayed Mohamad al-Musawi from the Department of Religious Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

Then the students of the al-'Ameed schools presented four plays about the Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), the eternity of the love of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and about parents neglecting and not helping their children.

At the end of the ceremony, gifts were distributed to the boys after reading the oath.
