Karbala International Book Fair is an attraction of the university professors.

The University Relations Division of the Department of Public Relations at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine organized a tour in which a number of professors of chemistry department at the College of Science for Girls of the University of Baghdad took part to visit the Karbala International Book Fair, which is currently held in the square between the two holy shrines.

This tour was part of the Division's program to welcome the university delegations of professors and students. The hosting coincided with the 15th edition of the Karbala International Book Fair, which was a good opportunity to see the contents of the academic and scientific publications that meet their research or educational needs.

Head of the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science / University of Baghdad, Professor Nasser Diaa Shaalan stated to al-Kafeel Network after the conclusion of the tour: "We thank the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for this initiative, which is added to the series of previous initiatives that shows its openness to academic institutions and university center, through many events and activities, and this visit is only one of them."

He added: "We found the Karbala Book Fair a comprehensive exhibition that contains many different titles. The exhibition management did not neglect the academic and university aspects, which were given great space to meet the needs of the university student and professor. So this tour, despite its short time, was interesting, and we will have other visits later, God willing. So, thanks to the two holy shrines for this wonderful organization, and we also thank those who organize this program."
