The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine opens one of the most advanced academic edifices in Iraq, in the holy city of Najaf.

Continuing its series of educational projects and in line with its plans to contribute to the advancement of the scientific aspect in the country, the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine opened in the city of science and scientists; Najaf, on Sunday, 8th Sha'ban 1440 AH corresponding to April 14, 2018, the new educational complex of the al-Kafeel University, with high quality technical and engineering characteristics in accordance with the specifications of each college and its educational requirements, and in line with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The opening ceremony of this academic edifice was held in one of the classrooms of the College of Pharmacy, in the presence of a wide range of personalities and delegations representing many religious, academic and cultural bodies, including the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail, the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, its Secretary-General Eng. Mohammed Al-Ashigar, his deputy, a number of its Board members and heads of departments, as well as the deans and heads of departments at the university.

After recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, there was a word of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed. Ahmad al-Safi.

After that, the audience heard the poem of the poet Ahmad Al-'Alyawi, followed by honoring the personalities who had a role in the implementation of this project. The ceremony was then concluded by cutting the inauguration ribbon of the new building of the university and conduct a tour in the corridors of its colleges, and witness the systems and techniques most of which are implemented in Iraq for the first time.

The opening ceremony of the new building of the university was held on the sidelines of the 15th World Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring, which was concluded yesterday.
