Al-Kafeel University is ranked 19 on the list of the Iraqi public and private universities.

The Al-Kafeel University of the Department of Education and Higher Education at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine revealed its entry into the world class (RUR - Round University Ranking) for the first time, obtaining 19th place among the public and private Iraqi universities within the classification, and ranked (819) within the international universities.
The university presidency said that this entry is the first step in the university's plan to enter the global classifications that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research urges all universities to enter, to improve the scientific reputation of Iraqi universities and improve the quality of their students' outputs and scientific research.
The RUR - Round University Ranking is a global ranking system that measures the performance of 930 leading international universities from 80 countries through 20 unique indicators and 4 main areas of university activities: teaching, research, international diversity and financial sustainability. And aims to provide adequate information on the performance of universities to address the personal tasks of stakeholders: students, academic community, university administration, policy makers.
