Library and House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is in the ranks of the first Arab libraries in the application of the RDA rules.

The Library and House of the Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine were able to be among the first Arab libraries to implement the RDA system to describe and make available the sources, which is one of the most modern systems used worldwide in the principle of cataloging and classification.

This assertion came during the fourth regional conference for IFLA in the Arab region, which was held recently in the UAE, in which Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fathi Abdel Hadi presented a research entitled: (The impact of information and digital knowledge on the work system in Arab libraries and information centers), presenting a comprehensive study of the libraries applied to this system (RDA), mentioning the first Arab libraries applying it, including the Library and House of manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.
