The closing of the second edition of the al-Kafeel competition for scientific creativity.

In the presence of delegations and personalities representing many parties, the main hall of the al-'Ameed University hosted on Friday 27th Sha'ban 1440 AH corresponding to (May 3, 2019) the closing ceremony of the second edition of the al-Kafeel Youth competition of scientific creativity, held by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine within the al-Kafeel national youth project, and lasted for three days, which aims to highlight the creative output of students and to contribute to the discovery of their energies and talents and to encourage scientific innovation and support scientific and applied research graduation projects.

The closing ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by recitation of Surat al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs of Iraq, and then listening to the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "Tune of Pride".

Then the word of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was delivered by a member of its Board of Directors; Dr. Abbas Rashid al-Musawi, followed by the word of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research delivered by the representative of the ministry at the ceremony; Dr. Musa al-Musawi. Then the word of the Resident Committee of Participating Creative Scientific Projects was delivered by Dr. Yusuf Khalaf.

Then, the winners’ names of medical and engineering specialities were announced by the Dr. Musa Khalaf.

The ceremony was concluded by the distribution of the appreciation certificates to all participating students in the competition, to urge them to continue their efforts for the sake of our homeland Iraq.
