Al-'Ameed University launches a charity initiative to distribute food baskets to the needy families of families of martyrs in Karbala during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Based on the students' moral building program, the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the Faculty of Medicine / Al-'Ameed University organized the annual food basket program, which is initiated by a group of university students at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan each year.

A group of students of the Faculty of Medicine at the university accompanied by educational guides headed to visit a number of poor families and families of orphans and martyrs in the holy city of Karbala, to provide moral and material assistance to them.

For his part, the Director of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the al-'Ameed University; Dr. Hassanein Al-Moussawi said: "This initiative is based on the distribution of food basket, which includes various types of essential foodstuffs, which we hope to contribute to feed these families during the holy month of Ramadan."

Pointing out that "these visits will work to strengthen the social and moral ties among students, and to make them aware of their responsibility towards this segment of society."
