The staffs of the Engineering Maintenance Department concluded the preparation of the final part of the cladding project of the Iwans of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The technical staff of the Engineering Maintenance Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concluded all the preparation works that precede the final part of the cladding project of the Iwans of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). These staff made a great effort, which is their tradition whenever a duty is assigned to them from the internal or external projects adopted by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

After reviewing the plans provided by the engineering projects department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which supervises the implementation of the project as a whole, a work cell of staff from the units operating in this department, was formed to develop a work plan for the works entrusted to it. And then, the preparation works started as follows:

-The removal of old marble

-The removal of the adhesive material

-The transfer of the remnants of these works outside the holy shrine.

-The treatment of the floor with special materials.

- To re-locate the service pipes of the communication, electricity, water and other systems.

-To recover what has been drilled with special material.

-Installing a reinforcing steel.

- Pouring a layer of concrete with a height commensurate with the levels of the shrine, to ensure a flat levelling cladding.

The project is executed by the Engineering Projects Department and the Engineering Maintenance Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. It is a complement to a series of projects carried out in a the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and as a result of the great damage of the current marble, which led to the distortion of its general view in addition to being old, as it has been more than (50) years since its installation until it was included within the implemented projects without intersection with other projects.
