In a ceremony held by the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Monuments for honoring the winners of the Iraqi Creativity Award in its fourth edition including nine fields including Calligraphy, the "Noor Grid" the grid of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) won the creativity award, a prize given to Dr. Abd al-Redha Bahiya Dawood for his work on the holy grid, designing the line of some Quranic verses and inscriptions on the holy grid.
This award coincided with the third anniversary of the installation of the holy grid of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is an exquisite piece of art.
The head of the Association of Iraqi Calligraphers, Dr. Abdul Reda Bahia Dawood, who is artistically known as (Rawdan), said in an exclusive interview with the al-Kafeel Network: "This award is another specialized official testimony that highlights that the Iraqi efforts made in the design and execution of this holy grid were at the highest level in terms of the quality of the line, design, operational technology and the integration of artistic and manufacturing elements, through the workshops and plants of manufacturing the shrines' grids at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which made this holy grid an exquisite Islamic artistic icon that emphasizes its distinguished qualitative presence. "
Then Mr. Rawdan explained about his participation in this competition: "I submitted colored pictures of replicated models of the inscriptions on this masterpiece, and then we won this award, thanks to God Almighty and blessings of the moon Bani Hashem (peace be upon him), and which I received at the official ceremony held by the ministry."
This award is considered a great victory and a great success for the holy grid and the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, to be added to the series of its creations and the record of its timeless achievements.
