The Quranic khatma continues to be held in the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The Quranic khatma of the holy month of Ramadhan continues to be held in the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) daily in the afternoon. The believers visiting the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to revive the days of the holy month, come at that time to recite and listen to verses of the Book of Allah, by a part [Juz'] every day.
They are old and young visitors who come at 5 pm every day to recite the holy Quran with the elite of the Iraqi readers, to complete a Juz' [2 Hizb] and then they perform their other worship acts during this holy month.
It is to mention that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organizes throughout the year many Quranic courses and events teaching the rules of recitation and Tajweed, including this recited khatma that is an annual tradition of the Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine during every month of Ramadhan.
