Another success was added to the series of success of the al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, where a medical team was able to remove a tumor in the right kidney of a 9-month-old child. As after reviewing many hospitals inside Iraq, without a solution, the child's father was thinking to look for a solution abroad, but a new option loomed in sight.

The head of the Iraqi medical team, Dr. Sarmad al-Rubaie, a paediatric surgery specialist at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, conducted successfully a surgery to the child. He said: "All praise to God, the surgical operation was conducted to a 9-month-old child, as he has a tumor in the right kidney."

"The tumor is of the type (Wilms' tumor), which is of a second class. It was attached to the main blood vessels in the abdomen and extends down and inside the right ureter."

Al-Rubaie said: "A surgical team was formed under our chairmanship and all the necessary tests and preparations were carried out at the al-Kafeel hospital. The surgery operation took about an hour and a half and was successful after the tumor was completely removed without bleeding or any other complications. And the baby left the hospital one day after the operation ".

For his part, the father of the child expressed his thanks and gratitude to the doctor and all the workers in the hospital, praising the medical and nursing services and other services provided to him.
