From Karbala ... Popular mobilization formations celebrate the fifth anniversary of the issuance of the defense fatwa, recalling their martyrs through a large march.

The formations of the popular mobilization in the holy city of Karbala, organized a festive march entitled "al-Wafa" marking the fifth anniversary of the holy defense fatwa issued by the supreme religious authority in Najaf, represented by his eminence Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, to fight the criminal ISIL gangs and to cleanse the land of Iraq from their desecration.

The march was held in the holy city of Karbala, in the square between the two Holy Shrines with the participation of the al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad through the 26th brigade of the popular mobilization, as well as the rest of the popular mobilization formations, in addition to the command of operations of the Middle Euphrates. The pictures of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the dignity, sovereignty and sanctities of the homeland, were raised, as they gave the greatest examples of loyalty and altruism in the current history. This march also included various activities such as chants and presenting some words for leaders of the popular mobilization.

Sheikh Maitham Al-Zaidi, supervisor of the al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad said that the march included various activities, including speeches of leaders of the popular mobilization, recalling that fatwa and its role in preserving the country and its sovereignty, as well as recalling the blood of the martyrs and the wounded and sacrifices made by the Iraqi families, who gave birth to these heroes who answered the call of the fatwa and achieved the unique Iraqi victory, praying the God Almighty to perpetuate the care of the supreme religious authority on and to give the success to respond to it and to obey its word.
