In order to achieve the principle of self-sufficiency relying on technical staff working in it: The Blacksmith Unit is an important pillar in the completion of the projects of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

The blacksmithing unit in the engineering maintenance department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine performs many works, most notably the construction and manufacturing of steel structures that pass through many stages of completion, as well as doors, windows and others that are manufactured in private workshops. This unit contributes to the accomplishment of most of the projects of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine whether those inside the holy sanctuary or the external projects.

Safaa Adnan, one of the staff members of the blacksmith unit, said: "We are doing a number of works, including the implementation of projects and their building needs of blacksmithing, in addition to what is needed by the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) of blacksmithing works."

He added: "The staff of our unit works for long hours without tirelessness and boredom, to serve the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and serve his visitors."

It is worth mentioning that the blacksmith unit belongs to the engineering maintenance department, which in turn supplies the Holy Shrine projects with a series of maintenance works through its technical staff in its various units.
