Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital takes care of the treatment of the Iraqi writer Huda al-Gharawi.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was keen on building bridges of communication with the creative Iraqi elites in all fields, in the belief that it is necessary to support and promote all that is in the service of the community, in addition to the humanitarian initiatives adopted by the al-Kafeel Hospital such as the one for the Iraqi writer Huda al-Gharawi, who conducted recently an operation ensured by the al-Kafeel hospital covering all its costs.

Therefore, the media delegation of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, headed by Mr. Ali Hussein al-Khabbaz, travelled to Baghdad to visit the poet in her house, to offer her some blessing gifts in the name of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

Mrs. al-Gharawi stared: "We thank the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for this initiative, which is their tradition in the framework of its work to serve the community."

As for her health situation, she said: "My health began to deteriorate when I was 10 years old. The signs of weakness appeared on my right leg, and I conducted many examinations but the cause was not diagnosed accurately, which caused that my condition worsened and even the left leg weakened, forcing me to leave school.

Two years ago, new diagnosis showed that I was suffering from bones rheumatism, which is a disease that worsen gradually, leading to effecting the back and movement in general, and for more than two decades I cannot move, and I lost hope in finding a chance for treatment by governmental organizations, as the surgery cannot be conducted inside Iraq, but the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, which is the forerunner of humanitarian and charity initiatives inspired by the blessings of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), offered assistance.

She continued: "It is in fact a friend who made it possible for me to reach the al-Kafeel Hospital, which administration contacted me to start the hope journey with them after that the specialist told me that there is a possibility to conduct a surgery with a success rate of about 90 %. And thank God, the operation was carried out and I witnessed the great interest of the hospital staff who keep taking care of me up to this moment, not to mention the organization of the hospital and the intensive care given to the patient."

Adding: "I would like to thank the al-Kafeel Hospital, which covered my operation's costs estimated by 35 thousand dollars. And my case is not the only case covered by the hospital but there are many others that one can see in the health TV program on Iraqia channel, and step TV program on Forat channel, in addition to the new project "doctors without wages".

At the end of the visit, the delegation presented a gift from the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and prayed for the poet's recovery in order to continue her creativity in the fields of poetry and writing.
