The Institute of the Heritage of the Prophets (peace be upon them) and the University of Umm Al-Baneen (Peace be upon her) for the preparation of preachers, men and women, of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine, organized a grand contest for reading the Holy Quran in the hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine on Friday 17th Shawwal 1440 AH corresponding to June 21, 2019.
The contest started by conducting the draw for reading the verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the word of the Director of the mentioned institute, in which he stressed: "The Muslim peoples are facing great challenges. One of the most serious of these challenges is the moral decline, as well as the attempt to destabilize the ties of religious and social sanctity by many of the media, to destroy and distort knowledge and Islamic programs that will preserve the values of society."
He added: "Unfortunately, we see the impact of these attacks on the Muslim community, keeping it away from the arena of the Holy Quran, so we must invest all the possibilities we have to stand up to these challenges", and he urged the community to get close to the Holy Quran and its supreme teachings, and setting up modern programs to prevent further displacement behind this attack.
Indicating: "There were 5879 men and women who participated in this competition to read a Quranic Khatmah dedicated to the Master of the Order and the Time (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance)."
The names of the winners were then withdrawn as follows:
1 - Fatima Najm from Diyala province.
2 - Sahlia Yusuf Jassem from the holy province of Karbala.
3 - Mohammed Ali Mahdi from the province of Babylon.
4- Mohammed Al-Hadi Mohammed Shafiq from Najaf Governorate.
The awards are:
The first and second winner: a single Umrah for the House of Allah and visiting the grave of the Great Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household).
The third winner: Ziyarat of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him).
The fourth winner: Ziyarat of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her).
