The expansion project of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine by roofing its sanctuary aimed at developing serving visitors.

It is known that the holy shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) had witnessed a complete roofing process, to develop its service for visitors by providing them with an ideal atmosphere and to protect them from the sun and rain. This project is considered one of the most important projects carried out in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as it is part of the expansion project of the holy sanctuary, completed in the most optimal and beautiful way through the designs of Islamic architecture in harmony with the existing features that characterized the corridors of the immaculate shrine.

The roofing project did not violate the architectural Islamic identity of the holy shrine. On the contrary, it increased its beauty, because the process of selecting the designs, inscriptions and decorations of the ceilings and domes were all inspired by the same Islamic architectural style, which is praised by all the shrines and holy sites. The project was held to sustain the harmony between the existing old designs and the new architecture used for the new roofing, taking into account all these details to be complementary to the existing designs using the latest scientific and engineering methods.

On the other hand, the project was carried out, designed and implemented by Iraqi hands. And it was a good opportunity to show the skills of these competencies, as well as the quality of the materials used in this project, all for developing the visitors' service and to add more aesthetic to the shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
