The people of Karbala commemorate the martyrdom of Imam as-Sadeq at the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon both of them).

On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ja'far al-Sadeq (peace be upon him) in 148 AH, the procession of the people of Karbala came out in the city of Mash'had at the shrine of his grandson Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Redha (peace be upon him), along with a number of Iraqi visitors who are there, to commemorate the tragedy that has afflicted the hearts of believers across the globe.

The Department of Rituals, Hussayn processions and bodies in Iraq and in the Islamic World of the two General Secretariats of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) ensured the organization of this funeral procession, which was launched on Saturday (25th Shawwal 1440 AH) corresponding to (June 29, 2019), in coordination and follow-up with the holy shrine of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him) to determine the places of departure, march and end of this procession in which the bodies and parties of Karbala participate.
