The staff of the Department of the Care of the Holy Sanctuary of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine began the periodic cleaning works of the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in order to preserve its luster and shine and to clean it up after the climatic fluctuations, thus increasing its longevity, sustainability and non-erosion due to these fluctuations and conditions, In the hope that the work of cleaning the two minarets will take place within days.

The head of the Care Department, Al-Haj Nizar Ghani Khalil, told the al-Kafeel Network: "The staff of the department are doing this cleaning works on a regular basis, in order to maintain the splendor of the dome, its brightness and its luster, and to rid it of calcification caused by climate change."

He added: "The cleaning process is divided into several stages through which the dome is divided into more than one section, using special cleaning materials and equipment that do not affect the golden tiles, and cotton cloth for the purpose of drying gold tiles after the completion of cleaning "He said.

He pointed out: "It is hoped that the work of cleaning the Dome of the shrine of the Moon of Bani Hashem (peace be upon him) will be completed tomorrow, God willing, to launch the cleaning of the two minarets."

It is worth mentioning that the care department of the Holy Sanctuary has the responsibility of a number of works in the shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) such as washing, cleaning, carpets and others.
