The Engineering Maintenance Department finishes the work of rehabilitating a complete sanitary complex within the service facilities of Maqam of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

The Engineering Maintenance Department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine finishes the work of rehabilitating a complete sanitary complex within the service facilities of Maqam of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), after the restoration of the water system as well as the drainage system and providing it with sophisticated systems to push the air and the system of lighting and warning.

The head of the engineering maintenance department, Engineer Samir Abbas, spoke to the al-Kafeel Network about this project. He said: "The work in these sanitary facilities was started several months ago. There were 11 sanitary facilities for men and same for women. The old floor and the sewage system were removed and replaced with other modern and new floors, and the paint was removed, to be replaced with insulating materials to prevent moisture."

He added: "In order to provide the best services to visitors to the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), the engineering cadres of the department added 14 facilities to the complex (men and women) to become (36) sanitary facilities, which was achieved after the work during three months in this service project for visitors."

It is worth mentioning that the engineering maintenance department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has a great role in the establishment and maintenance of many of the facilities of the Holy Shrine, whether external and internal ones, because it has a comprehensive integrated staff with accumulated experience in all construction works and in all fields and disciplines.
