The al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has announced that it has performed more than 100 brain tumors surgeries in just two years with a success rate of 93% by Iraqi and foreign medical professionals, including complex operations.
Dr. Samer Faisal, a specialist in neurosurgery at the hospital, said: "In addition to the success achieved by the hospital in conducting complex and accurate operations, it has achieved today, within two years, a success rate of (93%) of all the 100 surgeries of removing brain tumors in diverse locations, including complex places that are hard to reach."
He added: "This success rate is within the limits allowed and accepted globally, comparable to the world's largest hospitals, which indicates the high responsibility of the al-Kafeel hospital in caring for patients and providing the best health services for them."
Dr. Faisal said: "The operations are using modern and sophisticated technology, which makes it easier for the doctor and patient, because it shortens the time and avoids the patient the effects of surgical operations, as well as the existence of tissue analysis technology that reveal the type of tumor accurately within a few hours. Therefore, the patient is not obliged to undergo two operations as is the case in some hospitals. "
"Most of these operations have been performed by Iraqi and foreign doctors. They are among the world's leading doctors in the field of neurosurgery and most experienced ones. The success rates of the al-Kafeel hospital in this field are achieved thanks to the medical and nursing staff and also the modern technologies that have accompanied the medical development worldwide."
