To renew the pledge to the Holy Prophet and his Ahl al-Bayt (Allah's prayers be upon them), a delegation representing the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has attended the annual rituals to replace the flags of the two domes of Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) with the black flags of sadness to recall the tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him). The ceremony was held in the holy shrine of the Imams al-Kadhem and al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) on the 27th of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1440 AH corresponding to the July 1, 2019 amid the atmosphere of spirituality filled with sadness and grief that overshadowed the sky of this holy place.
These rituals were attended by the Secretary-General of the holy shrine of Imams al-Kadhem and al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them), members of the Board of Directors, representatives of the holy shrines and sanctuaries and a number of professors and dignitaries of the Hawza, a number of government and social figures, security leaders, the servants of the shrine, the processions of the city and a large crowd of the visitors of two Imams (peace be upon them).
The ceremony started with the recitation of verses from the holy Quran, followed by the participation of the processions of the Kadhemiyah city with commemorative rituals bearing the banners of allegiance in this painful occasion.
Followed by the word of the Secretariat of the holy shrine of Imams al-Kadhem and al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them), Dr. Haidar al-Shummari, in which he has spoken about the greatness of the tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) while he was only 25 y.o. Then he highlighted the responsibility of the youth during the time of occultation and the role of the society in educating the youth to renew their pledge to the Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) continuously.
This was followed by the speech of the representative of the supreme religious authority in Kadhemiya; Dr. Sheikh Ali Shukri on behalf of Sheikh Hussein Aal Yaseen, thanking the great role played by the holy shrines in Iraq, and then speaking about the tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him).
The ceremony continues by a poem of the poet Riyadh Abd al-Ghani al-Kadhemi, then a poem of the Radood Karrar al-Kadhemi. The ceremony was the closed by a condolence council led by the Radood Haj Basem al-Karbala'i.
