The al-'Ameed University of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine joins the International Union of Universities (IUU).

The Presidency of the al-'Ameed University of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine announced on Tuesday 4th Dhu al-Hijjah 1440 AH corresponding to August 6, 2019, its accession to the International Union of Universities (IUU).

"The university has joined the International Union of Universities in Turkey, which is one of the important academic additions to the university, especially since the university is still young," said Prof. Dr. Muayad al-Ghazali, Rector of the University.

This addition is attributed to the efforts exerted by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the continuous support for the advancement of the educational reality in the country, by taking clear steps towards scientific sobriety.

It is worth mentioning that the International Union of Universities (IUU) is a federation licensed in Turkey (No. 5827) and Lebanon (No. 640). It aims at researching the problems of higher education in the world, and codifying the frameworks of cooperation between Arab and International universities, and the management of educational and university institutions at all levels and at different branches and stages at all levels, to provide and disseminate culture and education, especially higher education, as well as to communicate with colleges and university institutes, centers of studies, research, consulting, translation and languages, and the establishment of a scientific journal subject to academic standards and its branch activities, University services, training and education, and marketing to disseminate science and knowledge in addition to the organization of conferences, seminars, lectures and educational guidance, and the organization of exhibitions for universities, both inside and outside Turkey.
