As a continuation of the services provided to the convoys of pilgrims who took the road (Nakhib / 'Ar'ar) during their journey to perform the rituals of pilgrimage, the water division of the Service Affairs Department in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine mobilizes its human and material efforts with the slogan (Providing water to the pilgrim is an honor for us) to provide a series of services to the pilgrims after completing their Hajj on their way back, from the farthest point on the Iraqi-Saudi border to the nearest point in the holy province of Karbala.
Hajj Ahmad Al-Hanoun, head of the water department, explained to al-Kafeel Network: “After being assigned by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to be responsible of part of the services provided to the pilgrims, a plan has been prepared for this service, which we consider an honor, in addition to our honor to serve the visitors of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). We have provided water to the pilgrims who landed in and out of the holy city of Karbala. All human and mechanical resources were prepared, and we started work since the first pilgrims' convoys entered the homeland after performing the rituals of pilgrimage. Tirelessly, the staff of the Water Division race for this service. "
He added: "1250 ice briquettes were prepared from the Holy Shrine Ice Factory, in addition to 14 thousand liters of RO water from Abu Al Fadl Al Abbas (peace be upon him) station. all of which were distributed to 150 stations spread in many locations, by evening and morning shifts, according to the march of the convoys of pilgrims to provide them with cold water."
"The cold water distribution plan included:
- The waiting Halls at the border port.
- The Halls for stamping passports.
- The accommodation halls of the pilgrims.
- Stations on the routes taken by the convoys of pilgrims.
- The security forces and the Popular Mobilization supervising the protection of the convoys of pilgrims.
- Foot and cars patrols on the road. "
The pilgrims and the Iraqi Hajj and Umrah Commission praised the services provided by the holy shrine to the pilgrims, as well as its efforts to provide services to them or to protect them on the road to perform the pilgrimage.
