The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participates in the Book Fair of the eighth annual al-Ghadeer Festival.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine represented by the intellectual and cultural affairs and Islamic and human knowledge affairs Departments participated in the book fair, which was part of the eighth annual Ghadeer Festival held by the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Najaf.The Book fair was held with a large participation of the Holy Shrines of Imam Ali, Imam al-Hussayn, Imam al-Jawad and Imam al-Kadhem, Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-'Askari, and of al-Abbas (peace be upon them all), in addition to the secretariats of the Great Mosque of Kufa and Al-Sahla Mosque, as well as the Shiite and Sunni Endowment Offices.

The Holy Shrine Pavilion included the publications of the International al-'Ameed Center for Research and Studies, the Center for the Revival of Heritage and the Center for Strategic Studies. The pavilion displayed more than 300 publications investigated and printed by the Holy Shrine.

The pavilion also included a number of encyclopedias such as the Encyclopaedia of Sheikh Mudhaffar and the Scholar al-Urdabadi, as well as the scientific journals issued by the centers of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs and the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs, in addition to other publications and periodicals of the holy shrine such as journals concerned about children, family and women.
