The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participates in the opening of the Residential Complex of al-Batool (peace be upon her).

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participated in the opening ceremony of Al-Batool (peace be upon them) residential complex for orphans and needy families, which was set up by Nour Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) Foundation under the slogan: (our orphans are a responsibility), on Friday morning (28th Dhu Al-Hijjah 1440 AH) corresponding to August 30, 2019.

The ceremony was attended by a delegation from the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine headed by the head of the religious affairs department, Sheikh Salah Al-Karbalai, in addition to a delegation from the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn headed by its Secretary-General, Mr. Jaafar Al-Moussawi and a number of its officials, as well as representatives of the province of Karbala.

The opening ceremony began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs, then listening to the Iraqi national anthem, followed by the speech of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine delivered by the head of the Department of Religious Affairs; Sheikh Salah Al-Karbalai.

This was followed by a speech by the President of Noor Al-Hassan Foundation (peace be upon him), Mr. Issa Al-Hassani, in which he said: "We are pleased to meet with you in one of the stations of our activities, and today we are honored to open the Al-Batool (peace be upon her) Residential Complex for Orphans and the needy."

He added: "This project was built on a land area of ​​(2000) square meters, and consists of eight residential units of ​​(130) square meters per residential unit."

He concluded: "We would also like to point out that one of the most important projects adopted by our institution is the educational project, which includes the registration of orphans free of charge in the schools of Al-'Ameed Educational Group of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and the schools of the Warith Educational Group of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)."

The ceremony included an eulogy about the Master of guardians; Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him), presented by students of Noor Al-Ameed Primary School, followed by honoring those who contributed to the completion of this housing complex. Then the keys to the housing units were distributed to the included orphans and needy families.

The ceremony was concluded by cutting the ribbon of the opening of the residential compound of al-Batool (peace be upon her) amid great joy of the families of orphans and needy families.
