The host restaurant of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) provides hundreds of meals for visitors of Ashura.

Within the service plan established by the al-Abbas' (p) holy shrine for the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) in holy month of Muharram, in which its service departments have participated in providing meals for visitors, as the Department of the host restaurant of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is, daily, providing and processing hundreds of meals by the rate of three meals a day, in addition to meals such as fruit, sweets and others.

According to the statement of the head of the host department; Haj Adel al-Hamami: "Our plan to feed the visitors of Ashura started from the first day of the month of Muharram, and continues until the seventeenth of it. Efforts are doubling during the peak days that start from the sixth of Muharram. This is what we are used to do in every Ziyarat season, where we keep this work according to the density of visitors, that is, whenever there are visitors, our food services are continuous."

He continued: "What led us to this procedure is to note the presence of large numbers of visitors arriving to Karbala, who consider the host restaurant of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) their favorite food station In addition to the fact that most of the service processions may run out of meals. Especially that we are the only one to provide the morning breakfasts."

Explaining: “The distribution of meals is done according to organizational contexts, ensuring that all visitors who are seeking the blessing of these meals can receive the food they need. Our staff are harnessing all their efforts to prepare high quality meals that suit the tastes of the visitors. We also monitor the distribution of food carried out by processions near the host. And when we notice a large amount of food distributed, the host reduces the amount of distributed food by it and vice versa, so there is no waste of omission in serving meals, as it has an indirect relationship with other processions on this subject".

As for the distribution outlets, he explained: "There are the main host halls and the external distribution port adjacent to the host building, in addition to distributing food to the staffs and volunteers, as well as providing cold water that is distributed throughout the day."

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has announced the completion of all its special preparations for receiving the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) on the tenth of the holy month of Muharram, by preparing a joint service and security plan to contribute to alleviate the burdens of the visitor so he can perform his worship rituals with ease, by harnessing all the potential, human resources and vehicles for this purpose.
