Opening new horizons for cooperation between the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad and the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.

A delegation from the leadership of Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad (brigade 26 of the popular mobilization) visited the Minister of Defense, Mr. Najah Al-Shammari, at the ministry's headquarters in Baghdad, where the two sides held a detailed meeting, in which they discussed:

  1. The Minister's permission to assign the task of commanding the elite forces in the Squad by one of the Iraqi army officers, who has worked with the Squad since the beginning of its establishment and participated in many battles, and who is the liaison officer between the leadership of the operations of the middle Euphrates and the Squad's leadership. And this falls within the principle of high confidence of the Squad to the brave Iraqi army officers, who had a role in protecting and defending the nation at various stages of the challenge.
  2. The Minister retains high confidence in the Mujahideen of the Popular Mobilization, and has highly praised the good elite who have bravely participated in defending the homeland, protecting its citizens and preserving its holy sites from the ISIL invasion.

3 - It is hoped to complete the entry of some divisions of the Squad in the Ministry of Defense within the next two months, God willing.

  1. An understanding was reached to raise the level of coordination and cooperation between the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the Ministry, in order to follow up on some cases of martyrs of the armed forces whose retirement transactions were delayed, through a specialized committee in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.
  2. The Squad hopes that the ministry enhances the sovereignty of the armed forces over the homeland and protect its ground forces from any brutal attack.

6- The Squad confirmed the readiness of its technical formations to support the ministry's efforts in the development and modern technologies in line with current and upcoming challenges.
