The launch of the activities of the first regional conference for medical services for Ziyarat Arba'een.

The first regional conference for medical services was launched on Monday 16th Muharram 1441 AH corresponding to September 16, 2019, which is held by the al-'Ameed University under the slogan: (The medical service is the safety valve of the Ziyarat Arba'een), under the supervision of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health and Environment.

The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Dr. Jassem Al Marzouki Hall at Al-'Ameed University amid a large presence of academics and researchers from inside and outside Iraq, as well as the presence of the Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine' Engineer Mohamad al-Ashigar, and members of its board of directors and heads of its departments.

The opening ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and then recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha in tribute to the martyrs of Iraq, and then listening to the national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; (pride's tune).

Then came the speech of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine delivered by the Acting Head of the Religious Affairs Department, Sheikh Salah Al-Karbalai.

This was followed by the word of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research delivered by the Undersecretary of the Minister of Education, Dr. Musa Al-Musawi. Then came the speech of the al-'Ameed University, which was delivered by its president, Dr. Moayad Al-Ghazali.

The ceremony also featured a short documentary showing the volume of medical services provided by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine during the previous Ziyarat of Arba'een.

Subsequently, the research sessions of the conference were opened, which included three research.

First: Dr. Osama Abdul Hassan from Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital entitled: (The role of scientific research and strategic planning in the development of medical services for the Ziyarat in holy Karbala).

The second was in English by Dr. Qasim Al-Jaafari from Ireland / Imamiyya Doctors Association under the title: (evolution of arbaeen mission in 11 years ... what have we learn?).

Third: Research in English by Dr. Nawar Moiz Al-Naqeeb from the Department of Health Karbala / Hussein Teaching Hospital, and was entitled: emergency issues in arbaeen)).

After that, the shields of appreciation was distributed to the participants in the conference. Then the attendees headed to the opening of the exhibition of the conference, namely:

1- Book Exhibition of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

2- Exhibition of photographs of Ziyarat Arba'een of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

3 - Historical Museum of the holdings of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine of the Museum Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

4. Heritage exhibition of the Department of Islamic Knowledge and Humanitarian Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

5- Exhibition of the al-Kafeel academy for military rescue.

6- Exhibition of the Karbala Health Department.

7 - Gallery of photos of the Hussayni processions of the Department of Hussayni processions and rituals in Iraq and the Islamic world of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).

After that, the attendees and researchers went to attend 38 research from inside and outside Iraq in three different halls according to each of the conference axes.
