The Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the scholar Sayed Muqarram.

The Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the scholar Sayed Muqarram in the annual scientific conference on the second edition, which was entitled "Sayed Abd al-Razzaq al-Musawi al-Muqarram, his approach and his scientific impacts," on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of his departure, in the hall of Seal of Prophets (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) at the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on the 18th of Muharram 1441 AH, September 18, 2019.

The conference, organized by the Center for the Revival of Cultural and Religious Heritage of the Department of Cultural and Intellectual Affairs at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine in cooperation with the Karbala Community -College of Islamic Sciences, began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and reading Surat al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs of Iraq. Followed by the word of the Senior Official of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi al-Karbalai' delivered on his behalf by Sheikh Ali al-Fatlawi; head of the Department of Cultural and Intellectual Affairs of the Holy Shrine.

Followed by a speech by one of the professors of the Hawza in Najaf, Sayed. Sadeq al-Khurasan, and addressed the biography of Sayed. al-Muqarram, defining his history of achievements, writings and investigations.

Then came the words of the President of the University of Karbala, delivered on his behalf by the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Jassem Abdul Wahid, and then a speech of the family of Sayed al-Muqarram, delivered by their representative, Mr. Hassanein Muqarram, and then a documentary about a part from the life of Sayed. al-Muqarram is displayed, and then a poem by Dr. Tahrir Riad.

The conference also witnessed the unveiling of the encyclopaedia about the scriptures of Sayed al-Muqarram, and honoring his family and some personalities contemporary to him.

It is worth mentioning that the conference includes on the sidelines of its activities a session of scientific research and a tour in the exhibition of the publications of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
