The Sayed servants at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine recall the march and calamities of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) during such days.

Among the activities of the Division of Sayed Servants in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is the establishment of condolence councils to commemorate the births and martyrdom of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), according to a schedule divided on the events of the year. And in the forefront of what they remember is the calamity of their grandfather Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and what happened to him, his family and his companions in the immortal incident of at-Taf, including a condolence council in the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to commemorate the calamities of the captives journey from Kufa to the Levant.

The Head of the Division of the Sayed servants, Sayed. Hashem al-Shami, said: "One of the activities that the Division is working on through the Unit for the Revival of Religious Events, is to recall the sad events that befell on the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), including the sad event for which angels of heaven and earth cried, which is the calamity and the tragedy of the martyrdom of the Master of martyrs; Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and what happened to him and his family (peace be upon them), and the ensuing events that anguish the heart, which is the journey of captivity to the Levant."

Adding: "In remembrance of this tragedy, a consolation council was held, which included reciting verses from the Holy Quran and a religious lecture, delivered by the preacher, Sheikh Haider Al-'Aredhi, from the Religious Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, speaking about the injustice, calamities and oppression that befell on Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon him). The council was concluded by an elegy abou this tragedy."

The Council witnessed the presence of a large number of the servants of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), as well as a large number of visitors to the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) on this occasion.
