Under the auspices of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine: the establishment of an integrated sanitary complex for the visitors.

With the direct field supervision of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and thanks to a donation of one of the donors, the works of an integrated sanitary complex under the name "the Oasis of Visitors" were launched recently, in order to provide a range of services and will help to remove some of the congestion that occurs during the Ziyarat of millions. The site, which is located at the entrance of Baghdad Gate from the side leading to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), lacks any sanitary complexes, thus after the availability of the appropriate space for its construction, work has begun and now has reached advanced stages of completion.

Head of the Engineering Projects Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Engineer Dia Majeed Al-Sa'egh, spoke to the al-Kafeel global Network about this project, saying: "The project aims to provide good services to the visitors of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), in continuation of a series of service projects of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine including sanitary complexes. The project was initiated by the supervision of our department and funded by one of the donors, and by the implementation of the Tabaq Company for General Contracting Ltd., taking into account to not intersect with any project of the future expansion projects of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine."

As for the most important specifications of the project, Eng. al-Sa'egh explained: "The total area of ​​the project is (1500 square meters) that includes (200) sanitary units equally between men and women, which are located under the surface of the ground, while the area above it will be exploited to be green areas and water fountains with an area of ​​(656 square meters). The project is also equipped with special systems for the disabled and the elderly. It is also equipped with integrated systems that are commensurate with the nature of the project including pumps, lifting stations, water heaters, heat exchangers, water tanks, control rooms, management and warehouses. In addition to a modern and sophisticated system to change the air inside the complex, and places for ablution and others to drink water, and sewage system and integrated lighting system, and lightning prevention system in addition to the grounding system and air conditioning and heating system."
