The staff of the Engineering Maintenance Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have begun their preparations for the Ziyarat Arba'een, which is expected to see a large number of millions of arrivals this year. Thus for the purpose of providing the best services to the visitors, the Department has developed an integrated plan that was discussed in a large meeting between its head and the divisions and units, including the Construction Division.
Samir Abbas Ali, Head of Engineering Maintenance Department, explained to the al-Kafeel Network: “The Division's staff have mobilized their human and mechanical potential to carry out part of the services and tasks entrusted to them and to cover all the special needs of the visitors' comfort, whether at the holy shrine's sites inside or outside the sanctuary."
Engineer Mohammed Mustafa Shaker al-Taweel, head of the construction division, said: "During the meeting, we presented our plan during the Ziyarat, part of which we started implementing not long time ago, where tasks were distributed between engineers and unit officials, in order to provide better services to the respected visitors."
He explained: "Among the things we have done is the development of (90) sanitary facilities in al-'Alqami complex for visitors, as well as the maintenance of all the halls of accommodation in the compound of Sheikh al-kulayni, in addition to the installation of spray fans in the vicinity of the Holy Shrine. The Division has also renovated some streets leading to the sanctuary and cladding them with the pavement tiles, as well as the restoration of 19 schools in the city center to be used as a guest house for the visitors."
Al-Taweel stressed: "The works that have been agreed to implement have been initiated, and we will announce later their completion."
