The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds its annual condolence council to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zayn al-'Abideen (peace be upon him).

In commemoration of the martyrdom of the fourth Mohammadian light; Imam Zayn al-'Abideen (peace be upon him), the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a condolence council for its staff in the Hall of Ceremonies inside the holy shrine, this morning of the 25th Muharram 1441 AH corresponding to September 25, 2019, which is a tradition that has been established in commemoration of the sorrows of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The council started by reciting verses of the Holy Quran. The religious lecture was presented by Sheikh Muhsin al-Asadi of the Religious Affairs Department, about the biography and life of Imam Al-Sajjad (peace be upon him), as well as his great status and role after the martyrdom of his father (peace be upon him). Sheikh al-Asadi also addressed the efforts exerted by Imam as-Sajjad (Prayers of Allah be upon him) in the refinement of friends' minds and exposing the deviant Umayyad thought.
The Council was concluded by reading the sad elegies and lamentations, which expressed the extent of the pain that afflicts the hearts of the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), when mentioning the calamity of the martyrdom of Imam Ali son of al-Hussayn (peace be upon them).
