The servants of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) present the condolence for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam As-Sajjad (peace be upon him).

As usual in the commemoration of all occasions of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), the servants of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) were organized in a unified condolence procession headed by a number of officials and heads of departments, to present the condolence for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam As-Sajjad (peace be upon him) on Wednesday afternoon 25th of Muharram 1441 AH corresponding to the 25th of September, 2019.

The procession, which was organized in groups, has begun from the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) passing by the area between the two holy shrines to reach the shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to present the condolence for this great loss. The mourners while marching have repeated some elegies and verses that express the greatness of this calamity of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and the great oppression Imam As-Sajjad (peace be upon him) was subjected to, especially the tragedy of At-Taf and what happened after it to the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

On the other hand, the condolence procession continue flocking to the two holy shrines to present the condolence for this sad anniversary, and the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared a special program for this sad occasion including the establishment of many lectures and condolence Majlis.

It is worth mentioning that the martyrdom of Imam As-Sajjad (peace be upon him) was on the twenty-fifth of the sacred month of Muharram 95 AH, after that Al-Waleed Ibn Abd al-Malik has sent a killing poison from Levant to his governor in Madinah and has ordered him to put it in the food of the Imam (peace be upon him). Al-Waleed governor has executed the orders and poisoned and killed the Imam (peace be upon him), whose light had enlightened this world and filled with his knowledge, worship, forbearance and piety.
