The spray fan project is to be finalized before Ziyarat Arba'een.

The Department of Engineering Maintenance at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, which oversees the implementation of the spray fan project that was installed in the main streets leading to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), announced that the completion rate of the project has reached more than 80%, in the hope of completing it before the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The head of the department, Engineer Samir Abbas, added: "The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine seeks to improve the services provided to those who visit the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), to perform their Ziyarat ritual in an atmosphere of tranquility and spirituality, and it works to develop those services as well as new ideas that create all means aimed at their comfort, such as what we recently started in the project of air conditioning, through the installation of a number of spray fans and water mist columns to cool the air in the open spaces.

He continued: "A technical team specialized in installation, erection and wiring works has started work after taking plans for the places where the fans will be installed, which are witnessing intense visitors movement such as the area between the two holy shrines and Al-'Alqami Street and the streets of Baghdad gate. The work is continuous day and night to accomplish it on time, as the spray fan system is the best and most suitable for outdoor air conditioning. "

Engineer Mohamed Abdel Rasoul, supervisor of the project, said: "We have achieved more than 80% of the project fans, as we installed 55 fans with a pressure of 120 bar, after the installation of a special water pump to strengthen the water supply to the fans between every 280 meters. Noting that the distances between the fan and another is an average of 7 meters. The team has also set up 50 inspection stations for the wiring and maintenance of water supply pipes (RO), in addition to the use of 1050 meters of power cords and water hoses to a perfect functionality of the fans. "

He explained: "The total number of excavations to extend the water pipes so far is 1400 meters for the connection of water. The water feeding station used for spray fans consists from a reservoir to keep water, and filters for purification before entering the high-pressure pumps, which are used to transport water from the station to the spray mist fans distributed through a network and conveyor lines.
