The library of the University of Kufa looks forward to opening up prospects for cooperation with the Library and House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

In order to exchange experiences and develop a step in the field of cooperation and joint action, a delegation from the library of the Central University of Kufa, headed by its Secretary-General, Dr. Abdul Hadi Abdul Rahman Al-Shawi, visited the library and the House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to visit the library and listen to a brief explanation on its projects, especially those implemented for the first time in Iraq, as well as the good results of its work that have been reflected positively on office work in the country.

At the end of this visit, the organizers promised to repeat it in the future, as a result of what they found on the seriousness of the work and the successful experiences of the Library of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, especially with academic libraries.

The delegation expressed the readiness of the Central Library at the University of Kufa to conclude agreements and cultural exchange between the two libraries in order to provide the best in the field of library and information science, and to disseminate the benefit to researchers and beneficiaries.

During his meeting with the delegation, Mr. Ahmed Majeed, the official of the e-Library, stressed the readiness of the Library of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to deliver the experience of the Iraqi scientific production project to the library of the University of Kufa, in order to preserve the Iraqi heritage and products of Iraqi researchers and thinkers.

Mr. Laith Lutfi, Managing Director of the Center for Manuscript Restoration and Conservation, expressed the readiness of the Center to provide all necessary assistance to preserve and restore the old copies of the valuable books owned by the library of the University of Kufa.
