The holy city of Karbala is witnessing an influx of hundreds of thousands of visitors who came from different cities of the country and the Islamic world. And as is customary, the flow of visitors starts from the first day of the month of Safar, while the service processions are getting ready to provide the best services to those visitors after the end of the first week of Safar. Thus the host restaurant of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) decided to start its food services to the visitors since the first days of the month of Safar, by providing lunch and dinner for the visitors.
The Head of the Host Restaurant Department at the al-Abbas's (p0 Holy Shrine, Eng. Adel Al-Hamami, explained to the al-Kafeel Global Network: "As usual every year, the host restaurant of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), began to distribute food to visitors from the first day of Safar, because of the presence of large numbers of visitors in this time."
He added: “To accommodate large numbers of visitors, we have opened three outlets to distribute the food, which is considered as a blessing of the water master (peace be upon him), as well as the main restaurant hall inside the holy shrine. The number of distributed meals is increasing day by day until the Ziyarat reaches its peak.”
He continued: "The outlets that we opened were distributed in the old city and in places where there is a momentum in the movement of visitors, the first was from the holy shrine next to the gate of Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him), the second in the Baghdad gate area and the third in the Hawra Street (peace be upon her)."
Confirming that: "The distribution works were smooth and orderly through organized and divided queues for women and men. The distribution was ideally done in large numbers of thousands of meals and in two batches, lunch at noon and dinner in the evening."
It is to note that all the Departments of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine are in full alert during the Ziyarat Arba'een, making great efforts to serve the best they can the visitors of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
