Firas Abbas Hamza, head of the Holy Shrine Communications Division, announced that the security monitoring system was the third eye in securing and organizing the Ziyarat Arba'een, through hundreds of cameras that are managed and controlled by dozens of technical staff with high expertise and efficiency working 24 hours without stopping. This monitoring system of great help for the security efforts of the Department of Maintaining Order in the application of its security plan, as well as the organizational side of the rest of departments. And thus, thanks to the concerted efforts, we have contributed to providing a safe and organizational security environment for visitors.

He added: "With regard to the security aspect, the cameras of the system worked to cover the perimeter of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in terms of security and control of crowds, as well as monitoring the streets near the shrine such as Republican Street and Baghdad Gate Street and distant streets such as Maytham Tammar Street, in addition to inside the sanctuary to monitor suspicious cases and monitor cases of theft if it happens. As for the organizational side, the surveillance cameras monitor with accuracy the movement of the processions in the area between the two holy shrines and inside the two holy shrines, to avoid the intersection between the processions and the visitors, as well as monitoring and directing rescue teams in the event of discovery of any case, in addition to monitoring the overcrowded places that may occur and coordinate to relieve them by the relevant authorities. "

It is noteworthy that the security surveillance system, which was established by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine more than two years ago, is one of the modern and sophisticated systems in Iraq, and is characterized by many specifications that came in tune with the technical staff of the Communications Division, who has become able and knowledgeable to manage it and work to keep up to date this system, which is one of many other systems that work in complementarity with each other, and its most important goal is to contribute to provide a safe and stable security environment for visitors.
