In pictures: The Shrine and Sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the last hours of the sadness season in Muharram and Safar.

After that the shrine and the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was covered in black as a sign of grief and mourning, in commemoration of the tragedy of the Master of the martyrs; Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), his family and companions (peace be upon them), preparations started to remove the black banners and manifestations of mourning that lasted for the two months of Muharram and Safar, to raise the red banner of revenge over his holy dome, on the last night of the month of Safar.
