New carpets' set in the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

After the end of the Hussayni mourning season; the months of Muharram and Safar, and as is customary in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the Care Department of the Holy Shrine covered the floor of the shrine with a new carpet, to welcome the month of Rabi al-Awwal, preceded by washing and perfuming the floor.

Regarding these works, the assistant of the head of the mentioned department; Haj Hadi Mahdi Mohammed, said: "In the last hours of Safar, we carried out the work of furnishing the holy shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with the new carpets' set of more than 1000 carpets on a total area of (6,000 m2). The works were preceded by washing the holy shrine and then perfuming it and fumigating it with sterile materials that maintain the alabaster."

He added: "The carpets, as is well known, are of high luxurious quality, and are of beautiful blue color decorated with Islamic vegetal patterns that fit the sanctity of the place."
