The Supreme Religious Authority confirms the necessity that the judiciary has to be the only authority that deals with all the crimes and violations

The representative of the supreme religious authority; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi read during the sermon of the Friday prayer of the 16th Rabi’ Thani 1441 AH corresponding to December 13, 2019, held at the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) the text received from the office of the supreme religious authority in Najaf; his eminence Sayed al-Sistani in Najaf, in which he stated:

“We also stress on the necessity that the judiciary has to be the only authority that deals with all the crimes and violations, and no punishment is administered to the guilty but by law.

As for the dragging, torture and hanging people, are crimes whose perpetrators must be held accountable, and it is sad that a large number of people were observed to follow these horrific scenes yesterday. And there is no power or strength except with Allah the Most High and the Greatest.”
