The holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) has received after the evening prayers of this Saturday 8th Jumada al-Awwal 1441 AH corresponding to January 4, 2020, the procession of the funeral of the popular mobilization martyrs who answered the sacred defense fatwa, who were assassinated by the treacherous American bombing near Baghdad International Airport.
The procession was welcomed by the Secretaries General of the two holy shrines and their deputies, and a number of members of the Board of Directors for both holy shrines in addition to the servants of the holy shrines, as well as a number of security and military leaders and social figures and large group of the people of the holy city of Karbala and the visitors of the holy shrines.
The procession of the mourners started from the Qibla Street to the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) towards the shrine of the master of the martyrs (peace be upon him), where they were received by the Senior Official of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine; his eminence Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi al-Karbala'i.
After performing the Ziyarat on their behalf there, they were taken to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), passing through the square between the two Holy Shrines, where they were received by the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi. The Ziyarat rituals were held in the noble Sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on behalf of the martyrs, and reciting Surat Al-Fatihah in honor of their souls, asking the Almighty, the Most High, to bestow their mercy upon them and to inspire their family and their loved ones patience and solace that He is all Hearing and answering.
It is noteworthy that the general secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) have mourned the martyrs and broadcasted their obituaries from the lighthouses of the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) several times, and the funeral prayer was held on them twice, the first in the area between the two holy shrines led by Sheikh Al-Karbala'i, and the second in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine led by Sayed al-Safi.
