The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad participates in the inspection of the Western Desert, with an area of 2000 km2.

The Abbas (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad (26th brigade of the popular mobilization) announced its participation in a military operation within its responsibility, aiming to search for the remnants of terrorist groups and outlaws and to promote security and stability.
The central media said that the Squad participated in a major operation this morning, led by the operations of the Middle Euphrates, and with the participation of the annexed divisions through the Directorate of Police Najaf and the Directorate of Police in the Karbala Governorate, the infantry brigade / 33 and the 16th brigade of the Federal Police and the second brigade of the Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
He indicated that the aim of the duty is to search within the sector of responsibility from the Al-Rafi’a area north of Al-Razazah and towards the Al-Faj region within the administrative borders of Al-Anbar Governorate, to Al-Nukhaib to the east and from the administrative borders of the holy city of Karbala to the south, and within the administrative borders of the Najaf Governorate, to the desert and to the south.
The central media of the group indicated that its plots searched an area of ​​more than two thousand square kilometers west of Al-Nukhaib district, towards the Iraq-Saudi border in the west and the governorates of Karbala and Najaf in the south.
