More than 1800 social problems and conflicts were resolved during 2019.

The Religious Affairs Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it was able to resolve more than (1814) social problems and conflicts during the year 2019, through its Social Affairs Division, which is responsible for such matters that are received and supervised by a group of Sayeds and sheikhs who are capable and experienced in dealing with any event, and are able to solve it by following a variety of methods that satisfy all the conflicting parties, and in a manner consistent with the provisions of Islamic Sharia.

The official of the Social Affairs Division, Sayed Adnan al-Musawi, said: “As a result of the reality in the country, some issues that we consider extraneous to this community have spread, which led to the buoyancy of negative phenomena that led to disputes. And we work, within the possible, to solve and ward off these problems that come to us regardless of their causes."

He added: "Praise be to God and with the blessings of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), we succeeded in the past year in resolving 1814 conflicts and problems by using many methods the most important of which are guidance and giving advice through remembrance of Quranic verses and noble prophetic sayings and others. Another way in the case each of the parties insist on the conflict, is al-Yameen [oath]. And the most prominent problems that have been solved are murder, theft, kidnapping and assault, in addition to clan disputes and others. "

Noting: "In the event of resorting to the oath, we clarify the sanctity of the false oath in this holy place, and then both parties repeats the wording of the oath that includes the oath with the Great God and the Noble Qur’an and Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and then the oath to be performed is documented in a special report in addition to writing the names of the witnesses who attended the oath at the end of the same report, and each of them signs before his name as a witness to this record, in order to ensure that he does not enter into problems when one of the two parties denies the performance of a particular oath concerning a specific case.

It is noteworthy that the Social Affairs Division is one of the important divisions in the Religious Affairs Department, given the specificity of its work, which is in direct contact with members of society, and its adherence to what the individual needs in some aspects of their life, and the doors of the Division are open to all without exception, morning and evening, and have been able since 2004 until 2019 to resolve more than (33308) social problems.
