The expansion project of the Maqam of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

After the end of the maintenance project of the Maqam of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) a year ago by the staff of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, they are now beginning another project for this holy place, which is its expansion, so additional areas will be added to fit with the increasing numbers of visitors, causing great congestion, especially during the special Ziyarat such as the Ziyarat of mid Sha'ban, investing the spaces of the river bank (al-Hussayniya river) on which the Maqam is located.
