Imam Ali As-Sajjad (peace be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on my uncle al-Abbas for he preferred (his brother to himself), showed extreme courage, and sacrificed his life for his brother to the extent that his hands were cut off, so Allah, the great and Almighty, gave him two wings to fly with the angels in Heaven, as He had given Ja'far Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon both of them).
