In the presence of a group of Hawza scholars and academic professors from inside and outside Iraq, the International Conference on the Renewal of the History Industry and its Writings was launched on Thursday, 26 Jumada II, 1439 AH corresponding to the March 15, 2018, held by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in cooperation with the Bahr Al-Uloum Charitable Foundation under the slogan: (The Hawza is the Pioneering of renewal), and continues for two days.
The opening ceremony of the conference, which was held at Sheikh Al-Tusi Hall in the foundation, started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran recited by Sheikh Jassim Al-Najafi, after which Al-Fatihah was recited in memory of the martyrs of Iraq followed by listening to the Iraqi national anthem.

Followed by the word of the Dr. Mohamad Hussain Ali al-Saghir, in which he spoke about the emergence of the Hawza and the religious authority in Iraq, citing many religious authorities such as Sheikh al-Mufid and Sheikh al-Tusi.
Then the word of the Professor Dr. Hasan Isa al-Hakim, in which he highlighted that history has become nowadays a science from the applied sciences. And it is a must to study history in a scientific and philosophical way in order to reach the facts...
As for Mr. Kamel Salman al-Jabouri, he explained in his word that the documentation is the process of recording, writing, compiling and archiving documents, which are described as the key to the past and the true proof of true history without falsification, distortion or omission as the documents are of great importance in the preservation of the history of nations and peoples...
The Bahr Al-Ulum Charitable Foundation also had a speech delivered by its Director, His Excellency Sayed Muhammad Ali Bahr Al-Ulum, in which he welcomed the presence in the city of Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in a new meeting of the series of conferences and symposiums. Shedding the light on the Hawza and the scholars who graduated from it...
The opening ceremony was concluded by honoring some scientific figures and presenting a documentary film showing the preparations for this conference.
After that, the attendees headed to open an exhibition of pictures and paintings that was held on the sidelines of the conference. The exhibition focused on the dimensions and values of the eternal Hussayni Renaissance, after which the activities of the research sessions of the conference began, which included in its first day three research sessions.
